A speed bump is a really annoying feature of some roads, intended to slow down traffic. Unfortunately, it rarely has the intended effect and usually degrades the suspension and shock absorbers of vehicles forced to travel over them.

Speedbumps in Charlotte, North Carolina

The folks in Charlotte really like speed bumps. I think some of them eat, drink, and sleep speed bumps. There are too many.
